The aim of the research was to determine whether the semantic analysability and the type of the determiner in the idiomatic direct object influence the syntactic behaviour of verbal idioms. A questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain an answer to this question. Le but de la recherche était d'établir si l'analysibilité sémantique et le type de déterminant dans le complément d'objet direct idiomatique exercent une influence sur le comportement syntaxique des expressions idiomatiques verbales.
