In such an atmosphere, emerging security situations can affect the rapid transition of social behavior, most often expressed between too much or too little concern for national and international security. Each specific situation, including threats, which we also find in the article, therefore requires attention and action, as differences between these situations in practice can lead to a complex (global) crisis at any time. Although the issue of national and international security development is usually related to many long-term conceptual and factual issues - from the hierarchy of interests, threats, risks to risk management - we should not neglect those possibly more transient security issues of the day, which further deepen this complexity of challenges. An interesting finding of the article is that in this developmental paradigm of national and international security, imbued with globalization and technological achievements, the armed forces are expected not only to make a capacity but also an intellectual contribution, where there is still considerable space for enhancing a soldier%s intellectual abilities, capable of dealing with new, complex military and security situations"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek postavlja v ospredje pogled avtorja na sodobne izzive razvoja nacionalne in mednarodne varnosti, ki so v dinamičnem in zelo negotovem mednarodnem varnostnem okolju postali kompleksni in posledično tudi zelo dimenzionirani. V takem ozračju lahko pojavne varnostne situacije vplivajo na hitro prehajanje družbenega vedenja, največkrat izraženega med preveliko ali premalo skrbjo za nacionalno in mednarodno varnost. Zato danes vsaka specifična varnostna situacija, kar ugotavljamo tudi v prispevku, zahteva pozornost in ukrepanje, saj lahko razlike med temi situacijami v praksi v katerem koli trenutku privedejo do kompleksne (globalne) krize. Čeprav je vprašanje razvoja nacionalne in mednarodne varnosti praviloma povezano s številnimi dolgoročnimi konceptualnimi in stvarnimi vprašanji % od hierarhije interesov, groženj, tveganj do upravljanja tveganj % pa pri tem ne smemo zanemariti tudi tistih morebiti bolj prehodnih varnostnih vprašanj sodobnega časa, ki to kompleksnost izzivov še poglabljajo.
