The project was a creative endeavour of a former journalist Ford, and the Americanpragmatists, Dewey, Park, and Mead to set up an accessible newspaper about complex social processes. Because of its emphasis on the conditions of information diffusion as integrative and on the possible social bearing of theoretical knowledge, the project represents a typical nineteenth century reflection on mass communication. In this sense, it is comparable to the contemporaneous theories of Tarde and Schäffle, who similarly sought to improve the performance of the press. Arguably, central concerns of the project have not been obliterated by the new communication technologies, but persist instructively for our present uses of them</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Članek predstavlja analitično ogrodje za interpretacijo projekta Thought News kot poskusa demokratizacije množičnih medijev. Osrednja vprašanja, ki jih je odprla priprava časopisa Thought News, se še vedno postavljajo tudi ob delovanju sodobnih komunikacijskih tehnologij</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-HQFRSD2S"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-HQFRSD2S" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-HQFRSD2S/24e2ad55-387e-4ed3-a72e-a6e55cac9171/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Evropski inštitut za komuniciranje in kulturo - EURICOM</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-HQFRSD2S/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-HQFRSD2S" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
