However, at the time of social networks, where individuals freely reveal their privacy, it is not completely clear what is that the media are allowed to publish and where they are violating their privacy rights, which are also protected by the code of ethics in journalism. The situation in Slovenia, regarding this issue, is very specific; the media have only started to follow foreign trends, after major political changes, i.e. the essential lead in journalism is: publish what will sell well"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Javne osebnosti so \"na očeh javnosti\", kar pa ne pomeni, da so povsem brez pravic glede zaščite svoje zasebnosti. Seveda je razlika v tem, ali mediji poročajo o nekom, ki je vsaj na začetku kariere z veseljem delil svojo zasebnost, saj velja pravilo, da če novinarje povabiš na poroko, lahko pričakuješ, da bodo ti pisali tudi o ločitvi. Pa vendar je v času družbenih omrežij, kjer tudi anonimni posamezniki delijo svojo zasebnost, vse bolj nejasno, kaj je tisto, kar mediji smejo objaviti, in kje že kršijo pravico do zasebnosti, ki jo navsezadnje ščiti tudi novinarski kodeks.
