The activity was designed in two stages: analysis of hypothetical cases without AI, followed by analysis of the same cases using generative AI tools. This design enabled a comparison between students’ own interpretations and AI-generated outputs, as well as reflection on their strengths and limitations. The results indicate that students recognize the usefulness of AI forstructuring and illustrating theoretical concepts, while also identifying risks such as overgeneralization, stereotypical interpretations, and erroneous inferences. At the same time, they report lower confidence in their ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content and recognize situations in which responses are less reliable. The article highlights the importance of responsible AI use, clear guidelines, and the systematic development of critical and ethical judgment in the initial education of future teachers</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Pri vključevanju umetne inteligence (UI) v izobraževanje je nujno upoštevati etična načela ter ohranjati strokovno presojo generiranih izidov. Namen prispevka je predstaviti primer pedagoške aktivnosti, v kateri so študenti, bodoči razredni učitelji, z uporabo UI obravnavali razvojnopsihološko vsebino ter razvijali razumevanje značilnosti socialnega vedenja otrok, kritično presojo razlag in etično občutljivost. Aktivnost je bila zasnovana v dveh delih: analiza hipotetičnih primerov brez uporabe UI in analiza istih primerov z uporabo generativnih orodij UI. Takšna zasnova je omogočila primerjavo lastnih razlag z UI-generiranimi izhodi ter refleksijo njihovih prednosti in omejitev. Rezultati kažejo, da študenti prepoznavajo uporabnost UI pri strukturiranju in ponazarjanju teoretičnih konceptov, hkrati pa opozarjajo na tveganja, kot so posploševanje, stereotipne interpretacije in napačno sklepanje. Ob tem poročajo tudi o nižjem zaupanju v lastno sposobnost kritičnega preverjanja UI-generiranih vsebin ter prepoznavanja situacij, v katerih so odgovori manj zanesljivi.
