Preizkušanci so bili izdelani iz cevi, ki so bile izrezane iz visokotlačnega parnega kotla v TE Šoštanj po eksploataciji več kot 10000 ur. Opredeljen je bil vpliv izotermnega popuščanja vzorcev cevi do 1344 ur na mikrostrukturo in trdoto in določena je bila kinetika rasti karbidnih precipitatov.
