One of them is nutrition. Nutrition for team sports is a complex process in which we have to consider athletes' role in a team, age, gender and also the characteristics of the sport. Because of the alternating anaerobic and aerobic needs during the training or match, we can only evaluate actual athletes' needs. Recommendations for carbohydrate intake is 5-7 grams per kilogram body mass per day for easier training or 7-10 grams per kilogram of body mass per day for matches or tournaments. For protein intake, it is recommended 1,4 to 2,0 grams of protein per kilogram body mass per day. Recommendations for fat intake are similar to the sedentary population and this is 20 to 35 % of all daily energy intake. Because of many factors that can affect actual energy needs and needs for specific macronutrients, it is important that nutrition planning is personalized"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prehrana v športu je pomemben dejavnik, ki lahko ključno vpliva na uspešnost športnika. Načrtovanje prehrane za športnike ekipnih športov je kompleksen proces, v katerem je potrebno upoštevati vlogo oziroma delovanje posameznika v ekipi, starost, spol ter same karakteristike športa. Zaradi spreminjajočih igralnih okoliščin in izmenjujočih se anaerobnih in aerobnih potreb med treningom ali tekmo je včasih mogoča le groba ocena dejanskih potreb po energiji in makrohranilih. Priporočila za vnos ogljikovih hidratov pri ekipnih športih so 5-7 gramov ogljikovih hidratov na kilogram telesne mase na dan pri zmernih naporih (na primer lažji, taktični trening) oziroma 7-10 gramov ogljikovih hidratov na kilogram telesne mase na dan pri intenzivnejših naporih (energijsko zahtevnejši treningi, tekma, turnir). Priporočila za vnos beljakovin se gibljejo od 1,4 do 2,0 gramov beljakovin na kilogram telesne mase, pri čemer je pomembno, da so živila vir visoko izkoristljivih beljakovin.
