Properly selected and timed early rehabilitation procedures prevent complications, enhance recovery and enable better outcome. This also applies to COVID-19 disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. Our aim was to review the existing literature to find out, what are the opinions about rehabilitation in acute phase of that disease and present some of our experience. Methods: We searched the PubMed bibliographic database for relevant literature using the key words "early", "acute rehabilitation", "COVID-19". We were interested in articles published in 2020. Results: Using the selected key words we found 93 articles published in the year 2020. After reviewing the abstracts and full texts, we eliminated the articles not addressing acute rehabilitation procedures. Conclusions: Early rehabilitation during acute hospitalisation plays an important role in preventing the sequelae, especially of severe and critical form of COVID-19. There are no clear guidelines yet regarding the content and scope of rehabilitation procedures</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Izhodišča: Akutna rehabilitacija je za doseganje dobrega končnega funkcijskega stanja pomembna. Pravilno izbrani in časovno ustrezno izvedeni postopki zgodnje rehabilitacije preprečijo pojav zapletov, okrevanje je hitrejše, končni izhod pa boljši. To velja tudi za COVID-19, ki ga povzroča virus SARS-CoV-2. Namen prispevka je ob pregledu obstoječe literature ugotoviti, kakšna so mnenje glede izvajanja rehabilitacije v akutni fazi bolezni in predstaviti nekaj naših izkušenj. Trenutno še ni jasnih usmeritev glede vsebine in obsežnosti rehabilitacijskih postopkov</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-GXVPBPRJ"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-GXVPBPRJ" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-GXVPBPRJ/32952ca0-bfbc-4ba7-abc9-397d3433554e/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerzitetni rehabilitacijski inštitut RS – Soča</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-GXVPBPRJ/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-GXVPBPRJ" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
