The Czech model influenced the Slovene gymnastic society in two ways, i.e., in form (organization of the society, its rules, external emblems of the Falcon movement) and in content (gymnastics as a meansof educating the nation and as an individual responsibility of national revival). The Falcon movement throught to the Slovene lands through Tyrš's original program a new conceptual world and its terminology, the later remaining alive to the present"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Nastajanje in oblikovanje slovenskega športnega izrazja je vezano na spodbudnejše družbene okoliščine v drugi poloviči 19. stoletja. Po padcu Bachovega absolutizma so se oblikovale narodne inštitutcije in društva, med njimi tudi telovadno društvo Južni sokol (1963), ki je nastal pod vplivom češke narodnoprebudne in narodnoc=vzgojne organizacije, Tyrševega Sokola. Češki zgled je dvojni, formalni ( organizacija društva, društvena pravila, zunanji, manifestativni znaki sokolskega gibanja) in vsebunski (telesna vzgoja, pojmovana kot vzgojevalnica naroda in kot aktualna narodnoprebudna naloga posameznikov).
