The prevailing power in the execution of the cross-country skiing technique is the dynamic power with the endurance component of muscle activation. Owing to the above, power can be successfully realised only with a high level of special endurance, and vice versa. Cross-country skiers mostly use situational training to develop their special power. Moreover, they increasingly use special training devices for development of power. The development of these types of devices is the result of the state-of-the-art sport technology the aim of which is to make the training process more efficient. At the same time, this process is controlled ever more with objective measurement instruments. This article presents the possibilities of using the training device for development of push-off power of arms of cross-country skiers</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V verigi specialnih motoričnih sposobnosti ima pomembno mesto moč, ki smučarju tekaču v največji meri pomaga pri odrivanju. Pri izvedbi tehnike teka na smučeh je najbolj prisotna dinamična moč z vzdržljivostno komponento mišičnega naprezanja. Zaradi tega se moč lahko uspešno realizira le ob visoki ravni specialne vzdržljivosti in obratno. Za razvoj specialne moči tekači največ uporabljajo situacijsko vadbo. Vse bolj pa se poslužujejo tudi posebnih vadbenih naprav za razvoj moči. Razvoj teh naprav je vse bolj rezultat sodobne tehnologije v športu. Z njo se želi proces treniranja narediti bolj učinkovit. Hkrati pa se ta proces vse bolj nadzira z objektivnimi merskimi instrumenti.
