Podan je postopek za prehod GPS-elipsoidnih višin v praktično uporabne nadmorske višine. Računsko izpeljan prehod, zasnovan na enostavni funkcijski zvezi elipsoidne in nadmorske višine, nam omogoča hkratno natančno določitev modela geoidne ploskve na obravnavanem lokalnem območju.
