There is a short introductory presentatin of the development of secondary education in Slovenia between the 16th century and Slovenia's independence (1991). This is followed by a description of secondary education connected with Catholic religious, i. e. the Counter-Reformatin, the development of various forms and types of secondary schools and the revival of the grammar school (gimnazija) after the dissolution of career-oriented education. There is then a presentation of the secondary schools in Dolenjska by school type and location until the mid-Nineties Der vorlegende Beitrag bietet einen Überblick über die Mittelschulen in Dolenjsko. Der einleitende Teil des Beitrags präsentiert übersichtlich die Entwicklung dec Mittelsculwesens auf slowenischem ethischem Gebiet seit dem 16. Jahrhundert bis zum Zeitraum der Verselbstständigung Sloweniens im Jahre 1991. Dargestellt wird das Mittelsculwesen der katholishen religiösen Erneurung beziehungsweise der Gegenreformtion, die Entwicklung verschiedener Formen und Typen des Mittelschulwesens bis zur erneuten Belebung der Gymnasien bei der Auflösung des berufsorientierten Schulwesens Prispevek prinaša pregled srednjih šol na Dolenjskem. V uvodnem delu članka je podana pregledna razvojna predstavitev srednjega šolstva na slovenskem ozemlju od 16. stoletja do obdobja osamosvojitve Slovenije (1991). Prikazano je srednje šolstvo katoliške verske obnove oziroma protireformacije, razvoj različnih oblik in tipov srednjega šolstva vse do ponovne oživitve gimnazij ob propadu usmerjenega izobraževanja.
