Direct contact with the landscape enables pupils to ascribe their own descriptive or interpretative values to objects and phenomena, and experience them as relevant in connection with their own reality. This is the only way to provide them with knowledge, experiences, patterns of behaviour and reactions, which will later help them make decisionsand take responsibility for their actions. The challenge of outdoor education is in balanced development of all intelligence levels, which could change the relationship between the human being and the nature. The cases fromthe Kostel landscape demonstrate the possibilities and advantages of outdoor lessons near small springs, torrents, the Kolpa flood plain, landslipsand in the sandpit</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Šola v naravi lahko pripomore k razvijanju aktivnega odnosa do pokrajine. V neposrednem stiku z okoljem lahko učenci predmetom in pojavom določijo svoje lastne opisne ali interpretacijske lastnosti in jih kot take doživljajo skladno s svojo notranjostjo. Na ta način pridobijo znanje, izkušnje, vedenjske vzorce in načine ravnanja, ki jim bodo v življenju pomagali sprejemati odločitve in odgovornosti za svoja ravnanja. Izziv šole v naravi je v enakomernem razvijanju vseh ravni inteligence, kar lahko pripomore k spremenjenemu odnosu človeka do narave.
