The model includes two components on the input side (financial investments in education, research and development, and human resources) as potential for research and development. It also includes two components on the output side, namely production (scientific publications and intellectual property protection) as an intermediate in the innovation process with no economic value and, finally, the economic impact consisting of revenues generated in the innovation process. The method is used to search for the link between investment in the research and development process and its economic impact. This model seeks to give additional insight into the effectiveness of innovation policy and the analysis of the countries involved. Based on the findings of the model, Slovenian research policy is evaluated"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek predstavlja analizo učinkovitosti inovacijskih politik Združenih držav Amerike, Evropske unije in Republike Slovenije, narejeno na podlagi lastnega modela. Model vključuje dve komponenti na strani vlaganj (finančni vložki v izobraževanje, raziskave in razvoj ter človeški viri, ki predstavljajo potencial za raziskave in razvoj (v nadaljevanju R&R), ter dve komponenti na strani izhoda iz inovacijskega procesa, in sicer produkcijo (objave, zaščitena intelektualna lastnina) - kot vmesni produkt inovacijskega procesa, ki še nima ekonomske vrednosti, - ter ekonomski učinek, sestavljen iz prihodkov, ustvarjenih v inovacijskem procesu. Model išče povezavo med investicijami v proces R&R in njihovimi ekonomskimi učinki ter želi na tak način podati obstoječim inovacijskim lestvicam še dodaten vpogled v učinkovitost inovacijskih politik v analizo vključenih držav.
