They are being forced to make early and well informed decisions about their life course, and the period of dependence or semi-dependence on their families of origin is being prolonged. V devetdesetih se je dogodil tektonski premik v vrednostnih usmeritvah mladih, ki jim zasebnost (družina, prijateljstvo, partnerstvo) pomeni najvišjo vrednoto. Mladi iščejo zasebne, biografske rešitve za strukturne probleme.
