Recently, the process has shown considerable promise in the manufacture of small, complex, sintered stainless steel parts. In this procedure the added polymer serves only as a binder during the injection moulding enabling the handling of the resulting green parts with the binder subsequently burned out during the first sintering stage. The presses used for this type of injection moulding are practically identical to those used for the injection moulding of conventional plastics. A variation of this forming proces is applicable to the manufacturing of plastic bonded magnets. In this case an appropriate granulated mixture of magnetic powder and themo-plastic polymer (e.g. polyamide) is prepared for the injection moulding. The mixture is then injected into a multi cavity die and moulded into the final product. With the incorporation of a magnetic field in the die cavity anisotropic magnets can be produced. The application of the resulting magnets is limited by the thermal stability of the polymer matrix (150°C). In this project, supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Magneti Ljubljana, the injection moulding of plastic bonded magnets has been developed. In this contribution the main features of the injection moulding process, as well as the physical, chemical and microstructural properties of the resulting NdFeB magnets are presented</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Eden manj znanih postopkov oblikovanja velikih serij manjših izdelkov zahtevnih oblik iz kovinskih ali keramičnih prahov je injekcijsko brizganje. Izdelki te vrste so uporabni v večini primerov do 150°C. V okviru projekta, ki sta ga podprla Ministrstvo za znanost in tehnologijo Republike Slovenije (MZT) in tovarna Magneti Ljubljana d.d., smo usvajali postopek injekcijskega brizganja. V članku so opisane značilnosti injekcijskega brizganja plastomagnetov NdFeB in njihove lastnosti ter fizikalno-kemijske in mikrostrukturne lastnosti uporabljenih materialov</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Nadaljuje se kot: Materiali in tehnologije</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-FN0FFERB"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-FN0FFERB" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-FN0FFERB/51d377ef-1502-4177-8287-ebdd5aba580f/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Inštitut za kovinske materiale in tehnologije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-FN0FFERB/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-FN0FFERB" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
