The main purpose was to establish the basic contents of computer science and information technology. Our aim was to follow the development of algorithmic thinking. The article intends to represent the systematically planned and executed activities, which gradually helped us to achieve the set goals. We used the observation method to learn about the children’s foreknowledge, which helped us to thoroughly plan the algorithmic thinking activities before performing them. The field of mathematics motivated us to develop the skills that ensured a more successful realization of the given assignments. The progress was monitored and analyzed with the method of participant observation. We performed the activities through play, which is the strongest motivational tool for learning, and the use of ICT, which enabled their understanding of the basic concepts of algorithms. Children developed the skills of problem solving with the help of logical, consecutive steps, which gradually led them to achieve a higher level of thinking and involvement</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V letu 2024/2025 smo se v oddelku otrok starih od 4 do 6 let vključili v projekt Inovativna pedagogika 5.0, z namenom uvajanja temeljnih vsebin računalniškega in informacijsko-komunikacijskega opismenjevanja (RIN). Sledili smo ciljem za razvoj algoritmičnega mišljenja. V prispevku želimo predstaviti sistematično načrtovane in izvedene dejavnosti, s katerimi smo postopno dosegali zastavljene cilje. Pred izvedbo dejavnosti za razvijanje algoritmičnega mišljenja smo z metodo opazovanja ugotavljali predznanje otrok na podlagi katerega so temeljile načrtovane dejavnosti. Na področju matematike smo razvijali spretnosti, ki so omogočale uspešnejšo realizacijo zastavljenih nalog. Napredek smo spremljali in analizirali z metodo opazovanja z udeležbo. Skozi igro, ki je otrokovo najmočnejše motivacijsko sredstvo za učenje in s pomočjo uporabe IKT tehnologije, smo izvajali dejavnosti, ki so omogočale razumevanje osnovnih konceptov algoritmov.
