In the preschool period, as much as 70% of synaptic connections develop in the brain, thus forming a structure and a framework for the abilities and attributes of a child's later life. An environment that is stimulating and diverse in terms of motor activities considerably affects the child's cognitive functions. The brain is designed for learning and the solving of problems which are first simple and then increasingly complex. The first problems that the brain solves are related to movement. A child solves such problems spontaneously, intuitively and in an unstructured manner. Subsequently, through more organised motor activities, a child develops different motor skills, abilities and sensorial experience and thus generates new findings about him/herself and the environment. These findings and experience will equip the child for successfully leading his/her life that will also include challenges and problems. Through movement, a child starts interacting with others, enters group dynamics as well as builds a sense of independence and autonomy</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Zgodnje otroštvo je eno najbolj kritičnih obdobij telesnega in intelektualnega otrokovega razvoja. V predšolskem obdobju se razvije kar 70 procentov možganskih povezav, kar tvori ogrodje in okvir za kasnejše otrokove sposobnosti in lastnosti. Gibalno stimulativno in pestro okolje nedvomno pomembno vpliva na mentalne funkcije otrok. Možgani so ustvarjeni za učenje in reševanje problemov, na začetku enostavnih, kasneje kompleksnih. Prvi problemi, ki jih možgani rešujejo, so povezani prav z gibanjem. Otrok te probleme rešuje spontano, intuitivno in nestrukturirano. Kasneje otrok z bolj organiziranim gibanjem pridobiva razne motorične veščine in spretnosti, senzorične izkušnje in si tako ustvarja nova spoznanj o sebi in okolici. Ta spoznanja in izkušnje bodo otroka pomembno opremile za kasnejše življenje z izzivi in problemi, ki jih le-to prinaša. Z gibanjem vstopa otrok tudi v medsebojne interakcije, v skupinsko dinamiko, pridobiva občutek za samostojnost in neodvisnost</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-F5C5BA5L"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-F5C5BA5L" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-F5C5BA5L/71d46f11-6977-4ebc-8a10-4a7b38bdd635/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za šport</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-F5C5BA5L/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-F5C5BA5L" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
