In this paper, we present some evidence of macroeconomic indicators affecting the NPL ratio in Hungary and Poland. We have shown that the improvement of economic conditions, measured by real GDP growth, positively influenced the banking sector performance of both economies. In addition, increasing depreciation of nominal exchange rates accelerated the NPL ratio in Hungary as well in Poland"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Izpostavljenost makroekonomskim dejavnikom je razlog za sistemsko tveganje, ki vpliva na rezultate bančnega poslovanja. V tem prispevku predstavljamo nekaj makroekonomskih indikatorjev, ki vplivajo na dinamiko slabih posojil na Madžarskem in Poljskem.
