Methods: A cross-sectional survey involving 42 generalpractitioners who had reported 300 office contacts, i.e. a total of 12,296 contacts. Results: Consultations are very short; approximately one third of consultations are administrative in nature. Conclusions: A cross-sectional method is applicable to data collection in general practice. Additional analyses will be necessary to provide more insight into general practitioners' decision making. Regular cross-sectional data reporting is necessary"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Namen: Analizirati delo zdravnikov splošne medicine v Sloveniji in preskusiti način presečnega poročanja iz ambulant splošne medicine. Metode: Presečna študija, v kateri je sodelovalo 42 zdravnikov, ki so registrirali vsak po 300 zaporednih obiskov, skupno 12296 obiskov v ambulanti. Rezultati: Čas obiska v ambulanti je kratek, tretjina vseh obiskov je administrativne narave. Obremenjenosti zdravnikov so zelo različne. Zaključek: Presečno poročanje iz ambulant splošne medicine je izvedljivo. Potrebne so dodatne, poglobljene analize, ki bi natančneje pojasnile odločanje zdravnikov.
