According to the ERA-1 a written explanation of the actual reason for the termination of employment contract is required, but the procedure of its service has been simplified. It is thus the responsibility of the worker to accept or refuse the reception of the dismissal the employer has performed in a lawful manner. Kot obvezno vsebino odpovedi pogodbe o zaposlitvi, ki jo poda delodajalec, ZDR-1 zahteva pisno obrazložitev dejanskega razloga za odpoved, vročitev odpovedi pa je poenostavil tako, da je na delavcu odgovornost za njen prevzem oziroma odklonitev prevzema odpovedi, ki jo delodajalec vroča na zakonit način.
