They occupy specific ecologic and geographic niches and exhibit temperature dim orphism. As these fungi are soil-based, people engaged in agriculture or recreational and work activities that expose them to disrupted soil are at the high est risk of infection. In Europe, only sporadic cases of autochthonic histoplasmosis were reported, but otherwise cases of end emic mycoses were reported only in patients from known endemic sites. This article discusses the characteristics of infectious agents causing endemic mycoses, along with their epidemiology and pathogenesis, as well as clinical manifestations, microbiological diagnostics and treatment of endemic mycoses</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Med najpomembnejše povzročitelje endemskih mikoz, za katerimi zbolevajo tudi zdravi posamezniki z normalnim imunskim odgovorom, sodijo Histoplasma capsulatum, Blastomyces dermatitidis, Paracoccidioides brasiliensis in Coccidioides immitis. V članku so opisane glavne značilnosti povzročiteljev, epidemiologija in patogeneza okužb, najznačilnejšeklinične manifestacije bolezni, mikrobiološka diagnostika in zdravljenje</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-EVGVBW4R"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-EVGVBW4R" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-EVGVBW4R/954fb75c-1029-4931-bd93-0dff39b786f1/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Društvo Medicinski razgledi</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-EVGVBW4R/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-EVGVBW4R" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
