The mechanism of action is via change in the cortical excitability of the brain. Up to now, very few studies have been performed showing that the use of tDCS in children is relatively safe and has positive effects in diseases such as cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy. For dystonia there are mixed data regarding efficacy of tDCS. Further randomised controlled trials should be performed in the future to demonstrate the effectiveness and determine the exact parameters of the tDCS stimulation in children</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Povzetek Transkranialna stimulacija z direktnim električnim tokom (angl. transcranial direct current stimulation - tDCS) je neinvaizvna metoda stimulacije možganov, ki dovaja šibke električne tokove na možgane (1-2 mA), pri čemer uporablja dve elektrodi (anodo in katodo) na površini skalpa. V prihodnje bo potrebno narediti večje število randomiziranih kontroliranih raziskav, s katerimi bi dokazali učinkovitost in določili točne parametre stimulacije pri otrocih</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-EUFAZEKF"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-EUFAZEKF" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-EUFAZEKF/efce2cd3-08be-4155-9409-2fcd3235a0e7/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerzitetni rehabilitacijski inštitut RS – Soča</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-EUFAZEKF/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-EUFAZEKF" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
