Communication is presented as a skill of interpersonal relations which forms a part of certain environments and can be learned through experience. Communication takes place on three levels: professional communication, communication with a client and communication within the organizational unit. In interaction and communication in the framesof social behavior, special characteristics of the establishment of the first contact between parent and staff, the element of communication and communication process. In the end, some special features of communication in nursing care are presented. The article is intedned in the first palce for beginners in nursing careČlanek opisuje komunikacijo v zdravstveni negi med medicinsko sestro in staršiprezgodaj rojenega otrok v okviru zdravstvene vzgoje in zdravstveno vzgojnega svetovanja. Komunikacija je predstavljena kot srpetnost v medseobjnih odnosih, ki je sestavni del nekaterih poklicnih področij in se je je mogoče naučiti tudi z izkustvenim učenjem. Odvija se na treh ravneh: na ravni strokovne komunikacije, komunikacije z varovancem in komunikacije v organizacijski enoti. Pri interakciji in komunikaciji v socialnem vedenju so predstalvjene posebnosti pri vzpostavljanju prvega kontakta med starši in osebjem, elementi uspešne komunikacije in komunikacijski prces. Ob koncu poda avtorica nekatere posebnosti značilne zlasti za komunikacijo v zdravstveni negi.
