Therefore, the main objective of the study was to examine the differences in the effects of the various training methods on power, speed and agility. Prior to the meta-analyses, a systematic review was conducted using the PRISMA protocol. Analyses included intervention studies including athletes over 14 years of age performing ODU, plyometric exercises (PLIO), standard strength exercises (SM), with or without control (KON). Selected studies were analysed using RevMan software (version 5.4, The Cochrane Collaboration). For selected motor skills, the mean differences method and a random effects model were used. In total, we analysed 505 athletes aged 19.1 % 3.5 years with a mean intervention duration of 8 % 2.9 weeks per study and a frequency of 2.9 % 1.1 days per week per study. A significant ODU effect compared to SM was found for: CMJ (SMD = 0.51, p = 0.04); 1 RM ODU derivatives (SMD = 1.37, p = 0.01); speed (SMD = - 0.36, p = 0.08); and agility (SMD = - 0.35, p 0.01). The effects of ODU and PLIO were similar for all motor skills. Compared to KON, ODU showed a higher effect on power (SMD = 2.69, p = 0.007, for CMJ; SMD = 4.10, p = 0.002, for SJ). These results represent the effectiveness of ODU when it comes to power. However, it should be noted that it requires a specific lifting technique that athletes must acquire. Ultimately, we conclude that properly planned ODU in combination with PLIO or alone is an effective training method to increase power and performance in various movements"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Raziskave kažejo, da z olimpijskim dviganjem uteži (ODU) izboljšamo mišično moč in jakost. Da bi preučili velikost vpliva vadbe ODU na nekatere gibalne sposobnosti (odrivno moč, največjo jakost, hitrost in agilnost), je bil izveden sistematični pregled literature z metaanalizo. Petnajst (15) intervencijskih študij, v katerih so izvajali vadbo ODU in pliometrijo (PLIO) ali standardno vadbo moči (SM) s kontrolno skupino ali brez te, je bilo vključenih v končno analizo. Uporabljeni sta bili programska oprema RevMan (različica 5.4., The Cochrane Collaboration) in metoda povprečnih razlik z modelom naključnih učinkov. Skupno je bilo vključenih 505 športnikov, starih 19,1 leta (SD = 3,5 leta), ki so izvajali vadbo 8 (SD = 2,9) tednov, s frekvenco 2,9 (SD = 1,1) dneva na teden. Rezultati so pokazali večji vpliv ODU v primerjavi s SM na višino CMJ (SMD = 0,51, p = 0,04), 1RM pri derivatih ODU (SMD = 1,37, p = 0,01), hitrost (SMD = -0,36, p = 0,08) in agilnost (SMD = -0,35, p < 0,01). Učinki ODU in PLIO so bili za vse gibalne sposobnosti podobni. Vadba ODU je imela velik vpliv na odrivno moč (CMJ, SMD = 2,69, p = 0,007; SJ, SMD = 4,10, p = 0,002). Ugotavljamo, da je vadba ODU primerna metoda za izboljšanje moči in ima na izbrane sposobnosti večji vpliv kot SM ter podoben vpliv kot PLIO.
