The strategy of cross-section study with descriptive method of work has been used. Gathering of data took place in August and September 2012 with the help of an anonymous online questionnaire. Quantitative data analysis has been elaborated in the SPSS Statistics V19.0 program. Results have shown that trekkers, alpinists and sport climbers (n = 350) usually eat food they bring from home, or combine their own food with that available in mountain huts. Most often their own nourishment consists of imperishable foods. There were cases of food poisoning between respondents during outdoor activities. The chances to consider hygienic principles are rather reduced outdoors. Some statistic differences were established in providing the safety of food regarding gender. Women are more careful when preparing food"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti higiensko-prehranjevalne navade planincev, alpinistov in športnih plezalcev in morebitne posledične pojave zastrupitev. Hkrati smo želeli tudi raziskati, kako omenjeni skrbijo za varnost živil, ki jih vzamejo s seboj na ture; v hribe, gore ali plezališča. Uporabljena je bila strategija presečne študije z deskriptivno metodo dela. Zbiranje podatkov je potekalo v avgustu in septembru 2012 s pomočjo anonimnega spletnega anketnega vprašalnika. Kvantitativna analiza podatkov je bila izdelana v programu SPSS Statistics V19.0. Rezultati so pokazali, da se anketirani planinci, alpinisti in športni plezalci (n = 350) običajno prehranjujejo s hrano, ki jo prinesejo od doma ali s kombiniranjem lastne hrane in prehranjevanja v planinskih kočah. S seboj najpogosteje nosijo nepokvarljiva živila. Možnosti za upoštevanje higienskih načel ob uživanju hrane pri športni oz. rekreativni dejavnosti v naravi so omejene. Med anketiranci so se že zgodili primeri zastrupitve z živili. Ugotovljene so bile nekatere statistične razlike pri zagotavljanju varnosti živil glede na spol.
