It shows that practical knowledge includes not only embodied skills but also internalised cognitive schemata, manners of reasoning, and knowledge of explicit information. Furthermore, practical knowledge is not merely the knowledge of an individual. Through shared expressions, forms, models, conversations and meetings, it develops as a collective knowledge of a given workplace – a common culture of employees who under similar working conditions experience similar life situations.
