Due to the heterogeneity of their tasks it is difficult to establish a uniform criterion of their functioning. This paper aims to clearly define their role and the difficulties they face. In our empirical investigation we included 25 leaders of different intermediary structures. The research results indicate the important role of the state in stimulating their functioning, particularly from the financial point of view. Despite some obstacles regarding co-operation activities between researchers and actors from the economic sector the common estimation regarding intermediary institutions and their contribution to knowledge transfers remains positive"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V Sloveniji so se v zadnjih nekaj letih izoblikovale različne posredniške strukture na področju prenosa znanja z znanstveno-raziskovalnega področja v industrijo. Zaradi raznolikosti nalog teh posredniških struktur je težko podati enoten kriterij njihovega delovanja. V prispevku skušamo natančneje raziskati probleme, ki se pojavljajo pri njihovem delovanju. Raziskava se opira na rezultate empiričnega raziskovanja, ki je bilo opravljeno v drugi polovici leta 2007. Opravili smo globinske intervjuje s petindvajsetimi vodji različnih intermediarnih organizacij. Rezultati empirične analize so pokazali velik pomen države pri spodbujanju delovanja tovrstnih struktur.
