In practice, the maximal handgrip strength is often measured as part of a measurement of endurance in strength. The purpose of the study was to compare the maximal handgrip strength measured in a task aimed at developing maximal force (independent measurement of maximum strength) and the maximal strength measured in a task aimed at developing maximal force and keep it for 25 s (endurance in strength). The study involved 29 male subjects (size 171 +- 12 cm; weight 58.2 +- 5.4 kg; age 15 years). Handgrip with dominant hand and non-dominant hand was measured with a manual electronic dynamometer. For comparison of maximal strength in independent measurement of maximal strength and in measurement of endurance in strength and for comparison of dominant and non-dominant arm, a t-test for related samples was used. The results of the study showed that the maximal handgrip strength was statistically significantly greater (dominant arm - p <0.001; non-dominant arm - p <0.001) in independent measurement of maximal strength than in measurement of endurance in strength. Based on the results, it can be concluded that when measuring the maximal handgrip strength it is important that the measurement is performed independently, that is, it is separate from the measurement of endurance in strength"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Stisk pesti je pogosto uporabljen test, s katerim se meri največjo silo stiska pesti in vzdržljivost v moči. V praksi se največjo silo stiska pesti pogosto izmeri kar v okviru meritve vzdržljivosti v moči. Namen raziskave je bil primerjati največje sile stiska pesti, izmerjene pri meritvi, katere cilj je bil razviti čim večjo silo (samostojna meritev največje sile), in največje sile, izmerjene pri meritvi, katere cilj je bil razviti čim večjo silo in jo zadržati 25 s (vzdržljivost v moči). V raziskavi je sodelovalo 29 merjencev moškega spola (velikost 171 +- 12 cm; teža 58,2 +- 5,4 kg; starost 15 let). Stisk pesti z dominantno roko in nedominantno roko je bil merjen z elektronskim dinamometrom. Za primerjavo največje sile pri meritvi največje sile in pri meritvi vzdržljivosti v moči ter za primerjavo dominantne in nedominantne roke je bil uporabljen t-test za vezane vzorce. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da je bila največja sila stiska pesti statistično značilno večja (dominantna roka - p < 0,001; nedominantna roka - p < 0,001), če so imeli merjenci za cilj samo doseg največje sile, kot če so imeli za cilj poleg dosega največje sile še vzdrževanje te sile 25 s.
