These guidelines developed from a theoretical model and have never been scientifically proven. In recent years investigators have been researching this topic and gained new insights into muscle hypertrophy and found that usage of lower loads is as effective as using higher loads for increases in muscle hypertrophy. New guidelines should consist a broader load and repetition range. There should also be instructions which end of spectrum is to be used to achieve predetermined training goals</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Trenutne smernice vadbe za povečanje mišične mase priporočajo uporabo relativno velikih bremen ter relativno majhno število ponovitev v posamezni seriji (65-90 % 1RM, 8-12 ponovitev). Te smernice so se razvile iz teoretičnega modela in znanstveno niso bile nikdar potrjene. V zadnjih letih so raziskovalci prišli do novih odkritij in ugotovili, da je uporaba manjših bremen enako učinkovita kot uporaba velikih.
