Hkrati se je ohranilo tudi nekaj njegovih scenskih osnutkov za amaterske predstave. Obsežno gradivo je bilo do zdaj neznano in neraziskano, zato se je bilo treba najprej lotiti osnovnega razpoznavanja posamične skice, tlorisa in povezave z že definiranim in podpisanim gradivom v isti mapi ter z zapisi v virih, hkrati pa tudi povezave in primerjave z zgrajenimi, še obstoječimi gledališkimi objekti. Med pregledanimi načrti izstopajo obnova oziroma preureditev odra Sokolskega doma v Zagorju, odra Enotnih sindikatov v Ljubljani, Sindikalnega odra v Trbovljah, odra v Šeškovem domu v Kočevju, načrt za pročelje in oder Doma kulture v Hrastniku ter arhitekturni projekt za celotno stavbo, dvorano in oder Društvenega doma v Štorah. Kot se je izkazalo, je za obnovo odrov moral sam osnovati gradbene standarde, saj jih je Ljudska prosveta, ki je bila za to zadolžena, določila šele leta 1951. Hkrati je z obliko naturalističnega, škatlastega odra s kulisami, ki ga je osnoval po lastnih proporcih, temelječih na evropskih zgledih, postavil temelje povojnim amaterskim odrom. V prispevku smo poskušali zajeti prav to, do zdaj še nepopisano obdobje delovanja Vala Bratine na delavskih in amaterskih odrih na Slovenskem od konca druge svetovne vojne do njegove smrti leta 1954"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"The collection of the Slovenian Theatre Institute preserves the legacy of actor, director and set designer Valo Bratina (1887-1954) with an extensive map of his architectural plans and sketches for the construction of workers' and amateur theatres and stages in Ljubljana and Kočevje as well as in the Slovenian countryside. The map also contains some scenic drafts for his amateur performances. His designs include the renovation or redevelopment of the stages of Sokolski dom in Zagorje, Enotni sindikati in Ljubljana, Sindikalni oder in Trbovlje, Šeškov dom in Kočevje, as well as the designs for the façade and stage of Dom kulture in Hrastnik and the architectural project for the entire building, hall and stage of the Društveni dom in Štore. Since the Ljudska prosveta set forth the building standards for stages only in 1951, he had to develop some of his own solutions. He chose the form for the new amateur stages leaning on historical, naturalistic box stage with flats, which he based on his own proportions using some stage examples from literature.
