As an example, the velocity field of the model vertebro-basilar junction is presented. The influence of some geometrical parameters on the blood flow and on the development of atherosclerotic changes is shown, proving thereby the importance of studying the biomechanical properties of the cardiovascular system in optimization of the treatment of the disorders of this systemPredstavljene so fizikalne osnove opisa pretakanja tekočine po sistemu cevi innekatere mehanske lastnosti pretakanja krvi po žilah. Kot primer je prikazano hitrostno polje toka skozi model vertebro-bazilarnega stika.
