In 7.5% of parishes, German was preserved until 1918/1919 (in the form of a linguistic continuum in towns and parishes along the border or close to the border). Individual deaneries partly implemented a language policy regarding language change, however, the dichotomy of town vs. countryside did not decisive a decisive role. The decisive role was played by the individual parish priest and his national commitment, possibly countered only by his own highly developed multilingualism and language switching in everyday life. In this context, the present research allows also for identifying parallels with the introduction of Slovene into education"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Analiza uveljavljanja slovenščine v matičnih knjigah v Lavantinski škofiji med letoma 1870 in 1919 kaže, da je bila nemščina zamenjana v 92,4 % župnij kot odločitev istega župnika ali ob njegovi menjavi. V 7,5 % župnij je nemščina ohranjena do leta 1918/1919 (nekatera mesta, jezikovni kontinuum ob meji). Posamezne dekanije so glede menjave jezika deloma izvajale jezikovno politiko, pri čemer dihotomija mesto vs. podeželje ni bila odločilna. Odločilno vlogo je imel posamezni župnik in njegova nacionalna angažiranost, ki ji je lahko nasprotovala lastna visoko razvita večjezičnost in jezikovno preklapljanje v vsakdanjiku.
