Pupils conduct experiments and develop research skills in a safe and controlled environment. The article highlights the importance of integrating various innovative and modern teaching formats that encourage active learning and critical thinking and develop pupils' key competencies for independent problem-solving. In addition to the virtual laboratory, which represents the use of digital technology, the Fit Pedagogy and Formative Monitoring methods are also presented. We were interested in whether lessons with innovative teaching methods and teaching formats have a motivational effect on pupils and whether pupils using innovative teaching formats and teaching methods showed better results than pupils using traditional lessons, focusing on experimental work. After completing a case study, we can claim from the results of the pupils’ expressions of well-being that the pupils found the lesson interesting. We also confirmed the motivation for work with the help of a table of performance criteria. Teachers also confirmed the pupils' hard work and motivation to achieve the performance criteria and product in the virtual laboratory during the lesson evaluation. The learning success of pupils who used innovative teaching formats and methods showed better learning results than pupils who used traditional teaching"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Z digitalizacijo poučevanja postaja nujno učencem ponuditi okolje, kjer pridobivajo praktične izkušnje brez fizične prisotnosti. Učenci izvajajo poskuse in razvijajo raziskovalne veščine v varnem in nadzorovanem okolju. Prispevek osvetljuje pomen povezovanja različnih inovativnih in sodobnih oblik poučevanja, ki spodbujajo aktivno učenje, kritično mišljenje in pri učencih razvijajo kompetence ključne za samostojno reševanje problemov. Zraven virtualnega laboratorija, ki predstavlja uporabo digitalne tehnologije, sta predstavljeni tudi metoda Fit pedagogike in Formativnega spremljanja. Zanimalo nas je ali učna ura prepletena z inovativnimi učnimi oblikami in metodami dela, vpliva na učence motivacijsko, in ali so se pri učencih, pri katerih smo uporabili inovativne učne oblike in metode dele, pojavili boljši rezultati kot pri učencih, pri katerih smo uporabili tradicionalni pouk, s poudarkom na eksperimentalnem delu. Po opravljeni študiji primera lahko iz rezultatov izražanja počutja pri učencih trdimo, da je učencem bila ura zanimiva. Motivacijo za delo smo potrdili tudi s pomočjo tabele kriterijev uspešnosti. Tudi učitelji so na evalvaciji učne ure potrdili delavnost in motiviranost učencev za doseganje kriterijev uspešnosti in izdelka v virtualnem laboratoriju.
