Some examples taken from foreign studies show the basic dilemmas and faults when using this method in forest management. We shall define the problem of proving ecological suitability, anddescribe the differences between forest certification and eco-labelling. Moreover, we shall explain the significance of ISO 14000 standardsPodajamo opis in strukturo metode ocene življenjskega kroga proizvodov s poudarkom na gozdarstvu. Nekaj primerov, vzetih iz tujih študij prikazuje temeljne dileme in pomanjkljivosti pri uporabi metode v gozdarstvu. Opredeljujemo problem dokazovanja ekološke primernosti in opisujemo razlike med certificiranjem v gozdarstvu ter označevanjem ekološke primernosti proizvoda (eco-labelling).
