The article focuses on the processes, caused by changing cultural environment in the case of migration. Changing identity, including ethnic identity, is seen also in the relationship, the individual has toward his/her original environment, toward new environment and toward the new state (whether he/she becomes naturalised). This is also the focus of author's analysis. What happened to those Slovenians who in the 1960's left their country (Yugoslavia) and immigrated to Sweden and stayed there? They have settled down there. This happened 35 years ago. They were a required labour force and were very warmly accepted by the Swedes. Slovene immigrants believe that the distance between Sweden and Slovenia is, in comparison with other immigrant communities, not so great. Moreover, the differences even decreased during the time. The analysis on progressing re-socialisation processes regarding ethnic identity, is done on the survey, carried out on the sample of Slovene immigrants in Sweden in 1995</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Povzetek. Tam so pognali korenine. Od takrat je minilo 35 let. Bili so potrebna delovna sila in Švedi so jih lepo sprejeli.
