One of these programe is called "Prevention injury, enhance performance - PEP". Purpose: To analyse effects of PEP program on the prevention of knee injuries in female football and basketball players. Methods: A literature review was conducted in databases PubMed, Cochrane library, Dikul and Pedro. Keywords in English were used in different combinations. Results: Eight studies were included. In two of them reduced incidence of knee injuries or anterior cruciate ligaments injuries, in three studies improved different parameters of landing and in two studies improved muscle balance between the hamstring and the quadriceps muscle, were determined. None of the three studies founded improvement in vertical jump height. Conclusions: The PEP program is effective in reducing knee injuries, improving knee biomechanics at landing, and muscular balance between knee flexors and extensors muscles. However, it has no influence on improving the performance of sports activities</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Uvod: Živčno-mišični preventivni programi naj bi izboljšali občutek za položaj sklepa, povečali stabilnost sklepa in razvili varovalne mehanizme, s katerimi bi zmanjšali možnost poškodbe spodnjega uda. Mednje spada tudi program za preprečevanje poškodb kolena in izboljšanje izvedbe športnih aktivnosti (angl. Prevent injury, enhance performance - PEP). Nima pa vpliva na izboljšanje izvedbe športnih aktivnosti</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-CVV8EC1F"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-CVV8EC1F" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-CVV8EC1F/2f71f87a-468e-44ea-976e-23d635f8afcc/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za šport</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-CVV8EC1F/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-CVV8EC1F" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
