Turner was not only a Doctor of Laws and an expert on global economies, but also a great educator, writer, passionate encourager of Slovenian national development, great cosmopolitan and a well-known philanthropist and patron. In his last testament, which he wrote only a month before his death, he left the majority of his assets to an institution (foundation) dedicated to scholarships, or as he himself had written: \"to the improvement of professional and worldly education of accomplished Slovenian jurists and philosophers\". Basing on archival sources, the author presents the course and the complications of the enforcement of his \"last will\""},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"25. septembra 1924 je na svojem domu v Krčevini pri Mariboru umrl dr. Pavel Turner, doktor prava in poznavalec svetovnih ekonomij, ki ni bil samo odličen vzgojitelj, publicist in vnet pospeševalec slovenskega narodnega razvoja, pač pa tudi velik svetovljan, znan filantrop in mecen. V zadnji oporoki, ki jo je napisal le dober mesec pred smrtjo, je zapustil pretežni del svojega premoženja ustanovi (fundaciji), namenjeni za štipendije oz., kot je sam zapisal, za \"izpopolnjevanje strokovne in svetovne izobrazbe absolviranih slovenskih pravnikov in filozofov\".
