On the windward sides of orographic barriers there is intense rising of air, and on the lee sides air descends. The intensity of the two processes is manifested in great differences in precipitation amounts at short distances. Although the network of precipitation stations is the densest in the Alps of all mountain regions in the world, precipitation regime at the micro level continues to be poorly known at many a place. Precipitation stations in mountainous landscapes are the most numerous in lower-lying and settled areas, whereas they are rather few in the high-lying areas. Also the accuracy of measurements is problematic in the mountains. As a result, the information on precipitation regime is inadequate right in the areas with the largest precipitation amounts. This means that the estimation of water balance is inadequate, and it is difficult to forecast the precipitation-related processes, such as torrential floods, landslides, avalanches, and the like. The present paper deals with horizontal precipitation gradients in the Alpine valleys of Planica, Krnica and the stream Beli potok which are all situated in the north-western part of the Slovenian section of the Julian Alps"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Čeprav imajo Alpe med vsemi svetovnimi gorstvi najgostejšo mrežo padavinskih postaj, je na mikro ravni poznavanje padavinskih razmer marsikje še vedno slabo. Padavinske postaje v gorskih pokrajinah so zgoščene v nižinskih in poseljenih območjih. Na višje ležečih območjih je le-teh malo. V gorah je problematična tudi natančnost meritev. Po-sledično je informacija o padavinskih razmerah pomanjkljiva prav tam, kjer je količina padavin največja. Slednje pomeni pomanjkljive ocene vodne bilance in oteženo napove-dovanje s padavinami povezanih procesov, med katere sodijo hudourniške poplave, usa-di, zemeljski in snežni plazovi in podobno. Prispevek govori o horizontalnih gradientih padavin v alpskih dolinah Planica, Krnica in Beli potok, ki se nahajajo na severozahodu slovenskega dela Julijskih Alp. Rezultati nekajletnih meritev so pokazali, da so letni hori-zontalni gradienti padavin v Krnici znašali 162 mm/km, v dolini Belega potoka 192 mm/km in v Planici 216 mm/km. Gre za največje poznane horizontalne padavinske gradiente v Sloveniji. Prirast padavin glede na začetek doline je v dolini Belega potoka dosegel faktor 1,36, v Krnici 1,55 in v Planici kar 1,86"}],"edm:type":"TEXT","dc:type":[{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"znanstveno časopisje"},{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"journals"},{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785"}]},"ore:Aggregation":{"@rdf:about":"http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-CGDR6UZ8","edm:aggregatedCHO":{"@rdf:resource":"URN:NBN:SI:doc-CGDR6UZ8"},"edm:isShownBy":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-CGDR6UZ8/c75e34de-890e-435a-8575-d4d464cf438f/PDF"},"edm:rights":{"@rdf:resource":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/"},"edm:provider":"Slovenian National E-content Aggregator","edm:intermediateProvider":{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"National and University Library of Slovenia"},"edm:dataProvider":{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Univerza v Ljubljani, Filozofska fakulteta"},"edm:object":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-CGDR6UZ8/maxi/edm"},"edm:isShownAt":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-CGDR6UZ8"}}}}
