Honey locust (Gleditsia triacanthos L.) is a deciduous tree native to North America and is a popular ornamental tree because of its fast growth, durability, and aesthetic appearance. It is an extremely invasive species in Australia and South America, and its invasive potential has also been demonstrated in Europe. In Slovenia, it is often planted in cities but can also grow spontaneously. In our study, we recorded the presence of honey locust in the eastern part of Slovenia and noted the habitats in which it occurs in the region. Between 2019 and 2025, we recorded honey locust at 86 locations, of which 39 (46%) were planted and 47 (54%) were spontaneous. Most locations were in urban areas, but we also recorded some in semi-natural habitats, such as hedgerows, field edges, and forest edges. At two locations, we recorded more than 100 young plants. The species has the potential to become invasive, therefore we recommend continued monitoring of spontaneous emergence"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Tujerodne invazivne vrste predstavljajo enega od vzrokov za globalno upadanje bidoverzitete. Trnata gledičevka (Gleditsia triacanthos L.) je listopadno drevo, ki izvira iz Severne Amerike in je zaradi svoje hitre rasti, trpežnosti in estetskega videza priljubljeno okrasno drevo. V Avstraliji in Južni Ameriki je izjemno invazivna vrsta, invazivni potencial pa kaže tudi v Evropi. V Sloveniji je pogosto sajena v mestih, kjer pa se pojavlja tudi spontano. V raziskavi smo popisali prisotnost trnate gledičevke v vzhodnem delu Slovenije in habitate, v katerih se pojavlja. Med leti 2019 in 2025 smo zabeležili 86 lokacij trnate gledičevke, od tega 39 zasajenih (46 %) in 47 (54 %) spontanih. Večina lokacij je bila v mestnem okolju, nekaj pa smo jih zabeležili tudi v pol naravnih habitatih, kot so mejice, robovi njiv in gozdni rob. Na dveh lokacijah smo zabeležili več kot 100 mladih rastlin. Vrsta ima potencial, da postane invazivna, zato priporočamo nadaljnje spremljanje spontanega pojavljanja"}],"edm:type":"TEXT","dc:type":[{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"znanstveno časopisje"},{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"journals"},{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785"}]},"ore:Aggregation":{"@rdf:about":"http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-C7KGJJEP","edm:aggregatedCHO":{"@rdf:resource":"URN:NBN:SI:doc-C7KGJJEP"},"edm:isShownBy":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-C7KGJJEP/c4b7884b-f552-4949-be7d-305ad8b7473d/PDF"},"edm:rights":{"@rdf:resource":"http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"},"edm:provider":"Slovenian National E-content Aggregator","edm:intermediateProvider":{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"National and University Library of Slovenia"},"edm:dataProvider":{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Botanično društvo Slovenije"},"edm:object":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-C7KGJJEP/maxi/edm"},"edm:isShownAt":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-C7KGJJEP"}}}}
