The diet of L. cf. signifera was composed mainly by coarse particulate organic matter (CPOM) and detritus, this species is both shredder and collector-gatherer. The macroinvertebrate community was dominated by collector-gatherers and scrapers, followed by shredders, while predators were scarce and filterers were absent.
