Copper minerals appear in grey fine grained sandstone in Middle Permian rocks. There was probably not major exploitation of these bodies of ore but some test tunnels were excavated. Minerals that we found in two major locations include malachite, azurite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, bornite, quartz, calcite and some other primary and secondary copper and ferrous minerals. The appearance of copper minerals, despite their small extent, nevertheless provides interesting consideration about the possibility of their exploitation during the metal ages (Copper and Bronze Ages). Some interesting archaeological finds of tools in the near vicinity of the Bodovlje valley also contribute to this"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Skozi zgodovino rudarjenja na ozemlju današnje Slovenije se redko omenja pojave bakrove rude v Bodoveljski grapi. V srednjepermskih kamninah se v lečah sivega drobnozrnatega peščenjaka pojavljajo leče z rudnimi bakrovimi minerali. Večjega izkoriščanja teh rudnih teles verjetno ni bilo, so pa izkopali nekaj poizkusnih rovov. Med minerali, ki smo jih našli na dveh večjih nahajališčih, so malahit, azurit, pirit, halkopirit, bornit, kremen, kalcit in nekateri drugi primarni ter sekundarni bakrovi ter železovi minerali. Pojavi bakrovih mineralov kljub manjšemu obsegu vseeno ponujajo zanimivo razmišljanje tudi o možnosti njihovega izkoriščanja v času kovinskih dob (bakrena in bronasta doba).
