A rowing inertial device was created which was able to track the characteristics of each repetition during a set. The purpose of the research was to assess the validity and reliability of the self-made inertial device. Measurements were performed on 38 students. Power variables were simultaneously captured using two methods: the new, self-constructed software, and the load sensor provided by the Faculty of Sports. Both methods were tested twice to asses (test - re-test) reliability. Validity was evaluated by correlating the two methods by performing them at the same time. With the intention of internal consistency calculation and reducing the resistance exercise variables, a principal component analysis was made and, among the first components collected, Pearson's correlation coefficients were calculated. The results showed a good internal consistency of the variables used (O = 0,8), high reliability (P = 0,749) and a very strong validity in the case of the first (P = 0,950) and second (P = 0,845) measurements. These results allow the research team to continue to collect relevant and valid characteristics of exercise repetitions in inertial conditions</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Zaradi izkoriščanja ključnega koncepta inercijske vadbe - ekscentrične preobremenitve se inercijska vadba za moč kaže kot ekonomična alternativa tradicionalni vadbi z utežmi. Izdelani sta bili inercijska naprava za izvedbo horizontalnega potega in programska oprema, ki omogoča spremljanje lastnosti ponovitev vaje. Namen raziskave je bil oceniti veljavnost in zanesljivost merjenja na lastni izdelani inercijski napravi za izvedbo horizontalnega potega. Na 38 študentih so bile izvedene meritve moči. Spremenljivke moči so bile istočasno zajete z dvema metodama, in sicer z novo lastno izdelano programsko opremo in s silomerom Fakultete za šport. Obe metodi sta bili z namenom ocene zanesljivosti (test-retest) uporabljeni dvakrat, veljavnost pa smo ocenili s korelacijo med obema metodama v istem času. Z namenom ocene notranje konsistentnosti in redukcije spremenljivk moči smo izvedli analizo glavnih komponent in med dobljenimi prvimi komponentami izračunali Pearsonove korelacijske koeficiente. Ugotovili smo dobro notranjo konsistentnost (O = 0,8), visoko zanesljivost (P = 0,749) in zelo visoko veljavnost v primeru prvih (P = 0,950) in drugih meritev (P = 0,845).
