Measures were adopted to prevent the spread of infection. We looked for the source of the infection and tracked the possible spread of the infection among patients and health-care professionals in the hospital ward. Methods: By employing a retrograde analysis of events during the first outbreak of COVID-19 we want to present the preventive measures that we implemented in our hospital, additional measures that we took during the outbreak of infection, their effectiveness and possible improvements. Results: The origin of the infection in the patient was not explained. Transmission of the infection occurred in five patients and in one healthcare professional. Conclusions: During the COVID-19 epidemic in a medical institution, we want to prevent the introduction of infection through preventive measures. The infection was confirmed by immediate diagnosis and the spread of the infection was prevented by isolating the infected person, using personal protective equipment and monitoring anyone newly infected"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Izhodišče: Prvi primer koronavirusne bolezni 2019 (COVID-19) smo potrdili pri pacientu, ki je bil hospitaliziran v naši ustanovi zaradi rehabilitacije po nezgodni možganski poškodbi. Z ukrepi smo želeli preprečiti širjenje okužbe. Iskali smo izvor okužbe in sledili morebitno širjenje okužbe med pacienti in zdravstvenimi delavci na bolniškem oddelku. Metode: Z retrogradno analizo dogodkov ob prvem izbruhu COVID-19 želimo predstaviti preventivne ukrepe, ki smo jih izvajali v naši bolnišnici, dodatne ukrepe, ki smo jih izvajali med izbruhom okužbe, njihovo učinkovitost in možne izboljšave. Rezultati: Izvor okužbe pri pacientu ni bil pojasnjen. Do prenosa okužbe je prišlo pri petih pacientih in pri eni zdravstveni delavki. Zaključki: Med epidemijo COVID-19 v zdravstveni ustanovi želimo s preventivnimi ukrepi preprečiti vnos okužbe.
