Its main characteristic is the production of antibodies against the recipient's antigens by the donor's B lymphocytes, which are transplanted with the organ. Usually, there is a mild, self-limiting hemolysis that lasts up to three months after transplantation. There is no cure, and usually, there is no need for additional care except for blood transfusions, which must be compatible with the donor's antigens if anemia occurs.
