Recent studies have shown that patients with autoimmune diseases with other associated conditions (e.g. diabetes and hypertension) and immunosuppressive treatment present a risk factor and can worsen the outcome of patients if infected. It is a fact that vaccine efficacy trials and trials about covid-19 clinical effects often include immunocompetent participants, while data about immunocompromised patients is scarce. Autoimmune patients and medical staff could benefit from further research of risk factors and treatment in case of infection"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Bolniki z avtoimunskimi boleznimi so v času pandemije covida-19 zaradi motenj v delovanju imunskega sistema še posebej izpostavljeni okužbam s SARS-CoV-2. Do sedaj zbrani podatki kažejo, da predstavljajo avtoimunske bolezni in uporaba imunosupresivov poleg starosti in drugih pridruženih bolezni, kot sta hipertenzija in sladkorna bolezen, dodaten dejavnik tveganja za hujši potek bolezni covid-19. Kljub velikemu številu izvedenih raziskav o zapletih covida-19 te naslavljajo predvsem zdravo oziroma imunokompetentno populacijo, podatkov o bolnikih z avtoimunskimi boleznimi pa je malo.
