Two Pentravan®-based formulations were investigated: one without enhancer and one containing 24% (w/w) propylene glycol. Permeation was assessed using Franz diffusion cells and UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The formulation containing propylene glycol showed higher diclofenac concentrations, greater cumulative permeation, and a higher fraction of permeated drug. Differences became more pronounced over time. The results confirm that propylene glycol enhances diclofenac permeation and highlight the importance of rational formulation design in topical preparations</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Namen raziskave je bil ovrednotiti vpliv propilen glikola kot pospeševalca permeacije na prehajanje natrijevega diklofenaka iz dveh magistralnih formulacij skozi sintetično membrano Strat-M® v in vitro pogojih. Preučevani sta bili formulaciji na osnovi Pentravan® brez pospeševalca in s 24 % (m/m) propilen glikola. Permeacija je bila določena z uporabo Franzovih difuzijskih celic in UV-Vis spektrofotometrije. Formulacija z dodanim propilen glikolom je izkazovala višje koncentracije diklofenaka, večjo kumulativno permeacijo in večji delež permeirane učinkovine. Razlike so bile izrazitejše pri daljših časih.
