It shows the connection between the democratic principles of deinstitutionalization and the need to introduce them into the higher education system. The emphasis is on a specific form of teaching and creating knowledge about, and for deinstitutionalization, at deinstitutionalization camps. Special attention is paid to the impact of camps on the process of deinstitutionalization and to camps as a method of teaching social work. It shows how insights into the democratization of relationships and knowledge creation in the community can also be used in the development of social work education</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Članek je nastal na podlagi študijske prakse, ki so jo študentke in študenti Fakultete za socialno delo v študijskem letu 2015/16 izvedli na treh taborih v Srbiji, in sicer v treh različnih zavodih za ljudi s težavami z duševnim zdravjem. Prikazana je povezava med demokratičnimi načeli dezinstitucionalizacije in potrebo po njihovi vpeljavi v visokošolski sistem poučevanja in izobraževanja. Poudarek je na specifični obliki poučevanja in ustvarjanja znanja o dezinstitucionalizacijo in zanjo na taborih dezinstitucionalizacije. Posebna pozornost je namenjena vplivu taborov na proces dezinstitucionalizacije in taboru kot metodi učenja socialnega dela.
