The structural funds of the European Union support the strengthening of the economies of its Member States. The efficient use of these funds is achieved through high-quality governance; however, efficient governance presupposes a stable and developed economy. Design/Methodology/Approach: The methodological background comprises a qualitative sequential approach involving a literature review and empirical analysis that provide coherence and viability for the study. We mainly employ quantitative methods, including an econometric model based on panel data for European countries over the period 2007–2020, which represents a novel approach in the literature. Findings: The empirical results indicate a positive relationship between the European funds absorption rate, economic growth, and institutional governance factors. Originality/Value: The article may be considered a useful contribution to understanding the complex relationship between European funds, government quality, and economic growth, thus adding to the existing literature</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Namen tega prispevka je opredeliti kontekstualne povezave med črpanjem evropskih sredstev, gospo-darsko rastjo in kakovostjo upravljanja. Strukturni skladi Evropske unije podpirajo krepitev gospodarstev držav članic. Učinkovita uporaba teh sredstev je dosežena z visokokakovostnim upravljanjem; vendar učinkovito upravljanje predpostavlja stabilno in razvito gospodarstvo. Izvirnost/vrednost: Članek je uporaben prispevek k razumevanju kompleksnega odnosa med evropskimi sredstvi, kakovostjo upravljanja in gospodarsko rastjo ter tako dopolnjuje obstoječo literaturo</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-B6LRG3M5"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-B6LRG3M5" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-B6LRG3M5/c5a67d56-c29d-49b4-8ecc-53bb70adcc80/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za upravo</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-B6LRG3M5/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-B6LRG3M5" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
