Therefore, a lot of different measurement methods are in use. Muscle quality can be assesed through two components: neuromuscular and morphological. Latter is usually assessed by imaging techniques, neuromuscular component uses ratios between muscle strength per muscle mass unit or volume. Muscle quality is an important parameter of sarcopenia definition and diagnosis, thus we have focused on muscle quality assessment methods for sarcopenia diagnosis"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Mišična kakovost je besedna zveza, ki se nanaša na mikro- in makroskopske spremembe mišične arhitekture in kompozicije. Trenutno še nimamo enotne definicije mišične kakovosti, zato se uporablja več različnih metod merjenja. Mišično kakovost merimo prek dveh komponent: živčno-mišične in morfološke. Za drugo najpogosteje uporabljamo slikovno diagnostiko, za prvo pa razmerja med mišično jakostjo na enoto mišične mase oziroma volumna.
